Nomarski Inspection

Spica Technologies employs 5 different Nomarski (DIC) microscopes for observation of optical surfaces. These microscopes range in magnification from 20x to 1000x and most can operate in the darkfield mode as well as brightfield. These microscopes are unique in their ability to observe surface topography, which makes them so valuable when observing laser damage. These microscopes can also be used for the evaluation of optical surfaces and are a fine instrument for observation of coating and substrate induced defects.
